Meeting of the DAC Healthcare System Preparedness Learning Laboratory: Expanding and Activating the Front Lines of Care, December 13, 2022
On December 13th, the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative (DAC) Healthcare System Preparedness Learning Laboratory convened more than 500 stakeholders from over 45 countries and 280 organizations to share lessons from leading-edge programs. Notably, representatives from 5 of DAC’s 12 Early Detection Grant recipients highlighted efforts to improve access to early detection and screening in Armenia, Canada, Kenya, and the U.S.
By activating the frontlines of care and better integrating care networks, health systems can maximize the capacity that’s already in place and expand access to Alzheimer’s screening, detection, diagnosis, and actionable health information. This transformation will allow better care for our global aging population, so that people everywhere can age with dignity. DAC’s grant program and flagship pilot program illustrate that such efforts are not only effective, but positively received, cost-efficient, and urgently needed. Our global network will continue sharing findings and perspectives at future events, as we work to mobilize the world against Alzheimer’s disease.
