The Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative (DAC) Healthcare System Preparedness program is proud to announce the launch of the Early Detection Demonstration Project in the UK, as an addition to the ongoing READ-OUT study. This initiative will integrate digital cognitive assessments alongside cutting-edge blood biomarker tests, aiming to improve early and accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The UK has been a leader in advancing dementia research since the landmark 2013 G8 Summit and has been persistent in transforming patient care—ensuring the right patients are identified at the right time. This builds on DAC Healthcare System Preparedness work previously begun in the UK, including with Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland and London, England. DAC is thrilled to partner with the UK on this initiative and will lead the implementation science efforts. This collaboration marks another crucial step in our shared mission to improve early detection and care worldwide.
